HT Energy is pleased to report the successful completion of our technical scope during the demobilization of a 10,000-tonne (10,000T) carousel from the vessel JXX088. The operations took place at Ba Son Port in May 2025, marking another successful execution of precision technical services in a high-stakes maritime environment.
As part of a larger decommissioning effort, HT Energy was specifically responsible for the mechanical breakdown and electrical decommissioning of the carousel unit.
Specialist Technical Execution
While the heavy lifting operations were managed by partner teams, HT Energy focused on the critical manual and technical tasks required to safely prepare the carousel for transport and storage. Our scope of work included:
-
Mechanical Removal: Our team performed the systematic removal of all structural bolts using calibrated torque wrenches. This process required high levels of precision to ensure that all components were safely loosened and categorized without damage, ensuring the equipment remains ready for future deployment.
-
Electrical Dismantling & Cable Management: Our electrical engineers managed the full decommissioning of the unit’s power and control systems. This included the careful disconnection and coiling of electrical cables, ensuring all lines were properly labeled and protected during the process.
-
Packing & Storage: Once dismantled, all mechanical fasteners and electrical components were professionally packed. HT Energy oversaw the secure transfer and storage of these items, ensuring they are preserved against the elements and organized for easy inventory management.
This project highlights HT Energy’s ability to integrate seamlessly with other contractors on-site. By focusing on our core strengths—precision mechanical work and electrical decommissioning—we ensured that the vessel’s turnaround time was optimized and the dismantling process stayed strictly on schedule.
The successful removal and packing of the 10,000T carousel components at Ba Son Port demonstrate our team’s commitment to technical excellence and operational safety.
